Lanique HallShow me what’s broken

Lanique Hall

I see what businesses stop seeing.

I find the friction, dependencies and broken processes hiding inside everyday operations, then redesign the system around them. Built on nearly two decades across recruitment, workforce operations, enterprise technology and operational leadership.

Lanique Hall

Most business problems get diagnosed in isolation.

Sales thinks it’s a sales problem. Operations thinks it’s a capacity problem. Finance thinks it’s a margin problem. Customers think it’s a service problem. Technology thinks it’s a requirements problem. Very often, they are all looking at different symptoms of the same broken system.

My strength is seeing those connections. I don’t just fix tasks. I work out why the system created the task in the first place.

Why recruitment and staffing is a strong fit

I know recruitment from both sides of the software.

I worked inside recruitment before I moved into the technology used to run complex workforce operations. That means I understand candidate journeys, client requirements, worker onboarding, compliance, scheduling, fulfilment, time capture, payroll, invoicing, margin, account management and reporting, from the operational side. Then I understand what the technology sitting underneath it can realistically do about it.

Most consultants understand one side. I have worked inside both.

How my brain works

Give me a messy problem and I rarely see one problem.

I see the chain reaction behind it. Most people fix the complaint. I follow the chain backwards.

I am wired for pattern recognition, root cause analysis and connecting information that normally sits in different departments. Hire me, and you are effectively putting that wiring on your business.

Process failure

Management blind spot

Commercial leakage

Revenue risk

Most consultants specialise in one box.

My value is understanding what happens between them.

Operations first. Technology second. AI where it earns its place.

I spent years redesigning operations before generative AI existed. AI is another tool in that kit, not a new identity. I will automate something when automation makes economic sense. I will use AI when AI is genuinely the right tool.

And I will tell you not to automate something if the underlying process is the real problem.

What I look for

Before anyone hires me, I’m already asking these questions

Where are humans transferring information between systems?

Where are customers waiting?

Where does someone maintain a private spreadsheet?

Where does work depend on one person's memory?

Where are managers manually producing information that already exists?

Where does the same data get entered twice?

Where are errors discovered downstream instead of prevented upstream?

Where does revenue depend on somebody remembering to chase?

Where are expensive employees doing low-value admin?

Where is technology dictating the process instead of supporting it?

Where is nobody quite sure who owns the decision?

Where is the business measuring activity instead of outcomes?

The commercial equation

What is manual work actually costing you?

This is before errors, rework, delayed invoicing or lost sales. Just the hours.

Recruitment and staffing
Workforce management and workforce technology
SaaS and technology businesses

Operationally complex SMEs
Founder-led businesses that have grown faster than their processes

Businesses roughly 10 to 250 people are often the strongest fit for independent consulting. My enterprise background means I can operate at considerably greater complexity when that’s what the work needs.

Give me the mess.

The process nobody understands.

The spreadsheet everybody is scared to touch.

The customer journey held together by inboxes.

The report somebody loses half a Friday producing.

The workflow only one person knows how to run.

The thing everyone complains about but nobody has fixed.

That is where I am useful.

Founding client programme

I’m selecting five businesses for the first independent Lanique Hall case studies.

Each business gets a focused operational diagnostic and improvement engagement. In exchange I ask for access to the process, permission to measure before and after, an honest testimonial if value is delivered, and permission to publish an anonymised or approved case study.

Limited to five organisations.

Career impact and case studies

Career impact shows the scale and problems I have worked on inside enterprise environments. Client case studies, arriving through the founding client programme, show the measured results of independent work. The two are kept separate on purpose.

What is taking too much time in your business?

If there is a process that frustrates you, wastes time, creates errors or relies too heavily on manual effort, tell me about it. I will tell you whether I think I can improve it.
